Sustainable mobility: Schwarz Group initiates partnership with nextbike
The Schwarz Gruppe is continuing to expand the range of alternative transport options at its Lidl and Kaufland stores, thus contributing even more to the mobility transition: Effective immediately, the retail divisions of the corporate group are collaborating with nextbike to make bikes available for rent at 18 Lidl and 2 Kaufland stores in North Rhine-Westfalia. To start with, the European market leader in bike sharing systems has set up nextbike stations at stores in Bochum, Bonn, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Hamm, Herne, Cologne, and Oberhausen. The cooperation is to be expanded in the future.
The new mobility option is quick and easy to use: Customers who are registered for nextbike can rent bikes around the clock directly in front of the Lidl and Kaufland stores via the app. The nextbike parking spaces are indicated by markings on the ground. All rental bikes are outfitted with a bike basket for the convenient transport of groceries, for example. The various rental and parking locations offer a great deal of flexibility: The rental bikes can be returned inside a given urban area at any nextbike station and even in defined zones directly on the side of the road.
