“Less pollution – more solidarity": Schwarz Group employees get involved in environmental protection

Within the framework of the group-wide plastics strategy REset Plastic, 1,000 employees and managers of the Schwarz Group in Heilbronn, Neckarsulm and at sites of Schwarz Produktion collected around 2.4 tons of waste.

The aim of the campaign was to mobilize employees for environmental protection on the occasion of "World Cleanup Day" and to collectively rid public places of carelessly disposed waste. In order to be able to separate the waste in a recycling-friendly way and then send it for recycling or disposal, the PreZero environmental division set up its own recycling center at the Neckarsulm site for the campaign day. In addition, together with the start-up HolyPoly, new shopping cart chips were made directly on site from the collected recyclables. Some of the recyclable materials will also be used by the Lichtenstern Protestant Foundation for an “upcycling art project” in which children and young people with disabilities will work with the material in an artistic way.
