Current figures for the Schwarz Group

In fiscal year 2020, the Schwarz Group maintained its growth trajectory across all divisions and, with around 500,000 employees, increased its total sales from EUR 114.3 billion in the previous year to EUR 125.3 billion.

Thanks to highly motivated employees as well as stable business and supply processes, the Lidl Group and the Kaufland Group and their 12,900-plus stores ensured that the general population had the supplies it needed at any given moment. Kaufland increased store sales by 7.5 percent to EUR 25.5 billion, while Lidl boosted sales by 9.9 percent to EUR 96.3 billion.

In fiscal year 2020, PreZero grew by 33.7 percent and generated approximately EUR 700 million in sales from waste and recycling management. The partial acquisition of SUEZ will raise this figure to more than EUR 2 billion. PreZero will continue to consolidate its position as an international provider of environmental services through organic and inorganic growth.

Investments in fixed assets for the core business amounted to approximately EUR 8 billion.

The reporting date is February 28, 2021. The Group‘s sales include all sales under German commercial law.
