Lidl stands for an efficient, simple and reliable shopping experience and high-quality products at the lowest possible prices. Daily interactions with customers, employees and business partners are determined by a spirit of transparency, fairness and communication on equal terms. Lidl’s assortment ranges from both own private label and well-known branded goods from the food and non-food sector. Lidl takes responsibility for people, society and the environment in its daily activities. For Lidl, sustainability means fulfilling the promise of quality every day anew. Accordingly, we are involved in various measures along the entire value chain, for example, for the protection of the climate, biodiversity and the careful use of natural resources.

Kaufland stands for convincing quality, a wide selection and low prices. With an average of 30,000 items, the companies offer an extensive range of groceries and everything for daily needs. Taking action makes the difference: The full-range retailer is committed to food from sustainable production and comprehensive environmental, climate and species protection.

Production

Schwarz Produktion is the umbrella brand for the production operations of Schwarz Group. In total, around 6,000 employees in Schwarz Produktion companies manufacture high-quality food, sustainable packaging and materials for the retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland. In addition to mineral water and soft drinks, Schwarz Produktion companies also produce chocolate, dried fruit, baked goods, coffee, pasta, ice cream and paper. The plastic and recycling plants are also key components of a unique PET recycling loop. In this loop, PET bottle bodies are produced from 100 percent recycled material.

Recycling and Waste Disposal

PreZero is an international environmental services provider in Europe and North America. The company’s services range from waste disposal to sorting, processing and recycling valuable recyclable materials at roughly 460 locations. The name says it all: Resources are conserved, and the amount of non-recyclable waste is reduced to almost zero.

Digitalization

Schwarz Digits guarantees the highest possible degree of digital sovereignty. With this ambition in mind, Schwarz Digits provides the IT infrastructure and solutions for the vast ecosystem of the companies of Schwarz Group, continually developing it further for the future. Schwarz Digits creates optimum conditions for the development of groundbreaking innovations for end customers, companies and public sector organizations. Schwarz Digits encompasses 7,500 employees and the brands Schwarz IT, Schwarz Digital, STACKIT, XM Cyber, Kaufland e-commerce, Lidl e-commerce, Schwarz Media and mmmake.
