Schwarz Group promotes cooperation to eliminate plastic waste from the environment

As part of its holistic REset Plastic strategy, the Schwarz Group is strengthening its activities in the REmove field of action.

Its cooperation with „Project STOP“ aims to establish effective waste management in Indonesia and has existed since March 2019. Now it has been extended for another year. By the end of 2022, the three current city partnerships of „Project STOP“ will reach 450,000 people and remove 45,400 tons of waste, including 5,700 tons of plastic, from the environment.

The river cleaning project in Bekasi, Indonesia, aims to reduce plastic entering the oceans and recycle collected recyclable materials. Together with the environmental organization „One Earth - One Ocean e.V.“ and the local recycler „Waste4Change“, the project has now officially launched „SeeHamster“, its first solar-powered river-cleaning boat.
