Schwarz Group Expands Partnership with Mobility Service Provider MOIA

Schwarz Group is integrating further stores into the MOIA ridepooling network in Hamburg, in addition to expanding the network to Hanover. For the last two years, MOIA’s small buses have already been taking customers from designated stops directly to Lidl and Kaufland stores in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and back. An additional 28 shops are now being added in Hamburg, with 12 new stops being connected to the network in Hanover. Out of the 40 total MOIA locations, 36 are located at Lidl stores and 4 at Kaufland stores.

Lidl and Kaufland customers can request a ride to their desired store via the MOIA app and choose the right trip for them from three different options. Customers can board and exit the buses at stops in the Lidl and Kaufland parking lots directly in front of the stores to shop at their own convenience. MOIA parking spaces are designated with markings on the ground and bus stop signs. The small, fully electric buses have enough storage space for purchases and offer free WiFi and USB charging stations.

With the demand-based ridesharing provided by MOIA, Schwarz Group is expanding its portfolio of alternative mobility services, thus making a positive contribution to the development of urban transport.
