At a time when the challenges of climate change and digital security are playing an ever greater role, companies of Schwarz Group, together with FC Bayern Munich, are leading the way in a future-oriented partnership. Together they are setting new standards in professional soccer, by placing clear focus on sustainability and the digital transformation.
FC Bayern Munich, world-renowned for its sporting successes, is showing just how seriously it takes its responsibility for the future off the pitch too. Together with companies of Schwarz Group - PreZero, the Schwarz Digits business units STACKIT and XM Cyber as well as the Lidl private label, Saskia - the club wants to take on a pioneering role in the “Road to Zero Waste” in addition to digitalization.
While PreZero is establishing an efficient, sustainable waste management system at the club’s venues, the solutions provided by Schwarz Digits STACKIT and XM Cyber ensure a robust and secure digital infrastructure. This partnership symbolizes a strategic “one-two”, which safeguards the club’s resources in addition to its data.
PreZero has been optimizing waste management at the Allianz Arena for several years now and is now pursuing these efforts at all FC Bayern venues. The aim is to conserve resources, to reduce waste to a minimum through conscious consumption and by recycling - while striking out on the “Road to Zero Waste”. Innovative projects such as “Herzrasen”, which uses grass clippings to make paper bags, underscore the commitments to closed-loop recycling and a higher recycling rate.
The partnership will also be complemented by the introduction of the Lidl private label mineral water, Saskia. Schwarz Produktion fills the water into its own closed-loop bottles, the bodies of which are made out of 100 percent recycled PET plastic - yet another step in the direction of conserving resources and sustainability.
In the digital sector, Schwarz Digits with its units STACKIT and XM Cyber, ensures that FC Bayern Munich is protected at the highest level. The cloud and cybersecurity solutions not only offer the club comprehensive protection for its digital infrastructure, but also the necessary flexibility to fulfill the requirements of the modern, digital world.
“With our customized and scalable solutions, we provide FC Bayern Munich with the optimal prerequisites for the digital transformation,” explains Rolf Schumann, Co-CEO of Schwarz Digits, the IT and digital division of Schwarz Group.
This long-term partnership is more than just a cooperation - it is a lighthouse project that shows how technological innovation and sustainable thinking can go hand in hand to safely and responsibly shape the future of sport.
